The MAS University Counselling Team helps students build upon their positive experiences to gain admission into universities all over the world. We have an excellent University Counselling Team which supports and prepares student in advance.

Chair of University Consultants Committee (UK)

Mrs Marion has taught at Merchiston Castle School in the UK for nearly 40 years, helping many students successfully apply to prestigious universities such as Oxford and Cambridge.

Vice Chair of University Consultants Committee (US)

Michael Shi was the Co-Founder and former Principal of the International Campus at Beijing No.4 High School. He holds a B.A. in History Education from Capital Normal University, and an Ed. M. in Leadership and School Development from Acadia University in Canada.

From 2003 to 2017, he served as a History Teacher, Deputy Director of the Teaching Affairs Office, Director of the International Curriculum Programme and Principal of the International Campus of Beijing No. 4 High School. In terms of teaching research, he had participated in the research of the municipal-level project "The Application of Foreign Language Materials in History Teaching" and the district-level project "The Practice of Oral History in Secondary School History Teaching", etc. Relevant papers and researches have been awarded by the Beijing Municipal Government.

In 2017, he joined Future Leadership Academy, Hainan as the founding Principal. He introduced the idea of “localized international education’” advocating for an educational system that absorbs the essences of Chinese and Western curricula.

He believes in the combination of humanities and technology, arts and sports, emphasizes reading, social practice and public welfare services, and insists on implanting character education, civic education and future education in the entire process of education.

Asad is a dedicated educator with a strong passion for economics and a commitment to enhancing students' learning experiences. He earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics with a 2:1 from the University of Warwick. He strived to excel in teaching by pursuing an IPGCE from the University of Derby.

His personal experience as a successful A-level and IGCSE student informs his teaching approach to be empathetic and effective. As an Assistant Principal and Economics Teacher at an international school in Beijing, he played a vital role in teaching, student management, teacher training, and curriculum development.

His pedagogies produced impressive results, with students achieving historic highs in Economics at his previous school. Asad's students broke into esteemed economics departments, including the ones at LSE UCL and Warwick.

Asad is lauded for creating positive learning environments to educate excellent future global citizens through his tech-savvy proficiency, fluency in English and Chinese, and diverse interests, which enriched his teaching and leadership capabilities.

Mr. Kwok has focused on education and vocational training in Hong Kong for over 30 years, with extensive experience in institutional and curriculum management, education promotion, and academic quality assurance. He has served as the principal of several professional education colleges in Hong Kong and is currently the principal of Xingzhi School and the dean of Bauhinia College.

Ms. Wang has been engaged in the international education industry for 13 years. She is familiar with the application process and examination requirements of mainstream countries in the United Kingdom and the United States. 

She has successfully planned students for admission to Oxford University, Imperial College London, University College London, University of Chicago, University of Toronto, University of UBC, University of Melbourne, University of Sydney and other prestigious universities. 

In addition to tailor-made plans for students, Ms. Wang is also good at planning extracurricular activities for students. Her students have participated in the British Physics Olympiad BPhO, Mathematics AMC Competition, and Yau Cheng Tong Competition.

Graduated with a master's degree in social psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Richard holds a mental health teacher qualification and an international NCDA career counsellor qualification. In the past five years, he has served as an A-level psychology, mental health and college guidance teacher, and has rich experience in school psychology and college counselling. In terms of educational philosophy, he encourages students to develop critical thinking, find their own goals and continue to work hard.
